The 2016 Touriga is 100% estate-grown and a blend of 82% Touriga and 18% Tinto Cao. It is bottled from select barrels that show what these Portuguese varieties can do as a dry table wine. It has a deep, purplish red color with aromas of blackberry, plum, white pepper, and a savory smoky meatiness. The rich, fruity flavors are lively and complex. There is a lot going on with this wine to make it very enjoyable to sip alone or with a spicy, mixed seafood and meat dish like paella or jambalaya. It is ready to drink now and over the next 4 to 6 years. Only 135 cases produced.
