This port-style dessert wine is 100% estate grown and bottled. It is a blend of three Portuguese varieties: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Tinto Cao. The grapes are picked when very ripe but not yet raisins, destemmed and whole berry fermented. The high proof spirits are then added to halt the fermentation. It’s then pressed off and aged in oak barrels for 18 months and then in the bottle for 2 more years creating a heavenly dessert wine that is velvety on the tongue with hints of raspberry and blackberry. 225 cases produced. 500mL.
