The 2016 Reserve Cinquain is a beautiful blend of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 17% Malbec, 17% Merlot and 17% Petit Verdot. This wine is very rich and complex. You’ll smell blackberry, black cherry, dates and dark ripe plums. Taste mocha and black cherry flavors supported by a firm structure with a lingering finish. It is 100% estate-grown and bottled and aged in a mixture of French, American and Hungarian oak. Each variety was aged on its own for 18 months. The blend was then created and aged for an additional 12 months in the same barrels for 30 full months on oak. This extra time allows for additional concentration of the fruit, fine tannins and firm structure that can be enjoyed now and over the next 5 to 10 years. 155 cases produced.
